Students and staff at Mark Hall Academy brightened up the day on Friday 9th October along with thousands of schools, community groups and offices all across the country by wearing an array of different shades of yellow to help raise awareness for Young Minds, the UK’s leading charity advocating for children and young people’s mental health and to mark World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2020.

Staff and students contributed to participate and all funds raised will be going to support a local Harlow charity.

Ms Craine, who coordinated the event said, ‘positive mental health is so important, especially at the moment when we are all living through times of change.’ The students embraced the spirit of the event well and were able to participate in activities to help promote a positive sense of self, mental health and physical wellbeing. At a time when things are a little crazy, we all want to be sure that we live in a world where all young minds are supported and where young people feel able to reach out whatever the challenges they may face.
